About Thiensville, Wisconsin
John Henry Thien, founder of Thiensville, was a German immigrant who, with his wife, had stopped in Milwaukee after leaving their home in Saxony. Looking for a home in this land of freedom, the couple traveled north by wagon in 1842. They settled on the banks of the Milwaukee River, where they built a dam and a grist mill.
In 1846, the Township of Mequon was formed by an act of the Wisconsin territorial government. The first town meetings were held in Thiens’ home. When it incorporated as a village in 1910 with a population of 289, Thiensville finds itself bounded on all sides by the Town of Mequon. |

Thiensville Today
Thiensville is, just one square mile in size, and possesses all the ease and character of a typical small mid west village, with a downtown business district with rows of meticulously maintained homes, and lines of tree-shaded streets. White Coach Condominiums is in the heart of the village within walking distance to outstanding shopping, top rated golf facilities, terrific dining. The village has a beautiful park on the Milwaukee River which annually hosts "Family Fun before the Fourth" event, a day of fun for the whole family that starts out with a parade and ends with traditional display of fire works. Residents can also enjoy a Farmer's Market held every Tuesday from May to October where you can purchase fresh produce and flowers from area. All of this makes White Coach Condominiums a great place to live. |
